1. Event Information

(1) Competition Time and Location

Date and Time: December 27, 2026 (Sunday) at 7:30 AM

Competition Venue: Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone, Hengqin, Guangdong Province

(2) Competition Events and Scale

Marathon (42.195 km): 5,000 participants

Half marathon (21.0975 km): 15,000 participants

Total: 20,000 people

2. Eligibility for Registration

(1) Age Requirements

1. Marathon participants must be at least 20 years old (born on or before January 1, 2006, including that date);

2. Half marathon participants must be at least 18 years old (born on or before January 1, 2008, including that date);

3. Participants aged 70 or above (born before January 1, 1956) must submit a 'Participation Declaration' and a 'Health and Safety Responsibility Commitment' jointly signed by themselves and their family members (including spouse, parents, adult children, and other cohabiting adult close relatives), clearly acknowledging the risks and agreeing to participate.

(2) Health Requirements

Road running is a high-load, high-intensity, long-distance competitive sport with certain risks. If exercise is improper, it can cause varying degrees of physical injury, and may even be life-threatening. Therefore, marathon participants should be in good health and have a foundation of regular running exercise or training.

Individuals with the following illnesses or conditions are not suitable to participate in the competition:

1. Patients with congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;

2. Patients with hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases;

3. Patients with myocarditis and other heart diseases;

4. Patients with coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmias;

5. Diabetic patients with excessively high or low blood sugar;

6. Those who have had a cold within two weeks before the competition;

7. Those who drank alcohol or had insufficient sleep the night before the race;

8. Pregnant women;

9. Those with infectious diseases who have not recovered;

10. Patients with other diseases unsuitable for exercise.

Participants must undergo a physical examination at a Grade II or higher hospital within 12 months before the race. Pre-race check-up includes blood pressure and routine ECG, or a 24-hour Holter ECG or a sports tablet test (any one of the three items is sufficient). If blood pressure is too high or the ECG is significantly abnormal (such as significant bradycardia), a cardiac ultrasound is required. The ECG and echocardiography cannot be substituted for each other. Participants should assess their physical condition based on their medical report to confirm whether they are eligible to participate in the marathon/half marathon. Any personal injury or property loss caused by personal health or other personal reasons shall be borne by the participant.

(3) Other Explanations

1. The marathon event is limited to 5,000 participants, and the half marathon event is limited to 15,000 participants. If the number of applicants for each event exceeds the quota, eligibility will be determined by pre-registration and drawing lots before payment.

2. Athletes registering for marathon events must upload a certificate of completion for one full marathon or two half marathon races within 24 months prior to the registration deadline at registration; Athletes registering for the half marathon must upload their certificate of completion for two races over 10km or more within 24 months prior to the registration deadline.

3. Participants (including retired athletes) must strictly comply with the World Anti-Doping Regulations and the relevant requirements of the Anti-Doping Rules issued by the General Administration of Sport of China before competing; If retired athletes participate in violation of regulations, their competition results and other income-related benefits will be canceled.

4. Athletes who are not allowed to register: (1) Athletes who have been suspended by the Chinese Athletics Association for violating athletics competition rules and related event regulations; (2) Participants who have been suspended by the organizing committee for violating the relevant regulations of events organized by the organizing committee and the operating unit.

(4) Registration Method for Disabled Participants

According to the relevant requirements of the Chinese Athletics Association's 'Notice on Disabled Athletes Participating in National Marathons and Related Sports Events,' the following explanation is provided regarding the participation procedures for disabled athletes in this event:

Athletes with disabilities must meet the registration requirements and complete registration through the official Hengqin Marathon website or partner app. If the number of registrants exceeds the quota, athletes with disabilities will be selected by lottery together with general athletes.

To ensure the safety of all athletes, non-racing wheelchair athletes and visually impaired athletes must log in to the official Hengqin Marathon website after submitting registration information, download the 'Non-Racing Wheelchair Athlete Registration Application Form' or 'Visually Impaired Athlete Registration Application Form,' fill it out, and submit it along with a scanned copy or photo of the disability certificate in Beijing time 2026Send it back to the official contact email (OC@hengqinmarathon.com) before 22:00 on September 12)。 Visually impaired athletes must be accompanied by a running companion throughout the entire race. Companion runners must have successfully submitted registration information and be in the same event as visually impaired athletes, and must be registered together. There is no racing wheelchair category in this event, and race wheelchairs are not allowed to participate. To ensure the safety of participating athletes, non-racing wheelchair athletes must follow the guidance of referees and volunteers to assemble at the end of each event and start safely and orderly.

Other categories of disabled athletes (such as those with visual impairments, hearing impairments, intellectual disabilities, upper limb disabilities, etc.) will start safely and orderly in their respective zones together with general athletes according to the competition zoning rules.

3. Registration Process

(3) Waitlist and withdrawal registration

1. After the above lottery results are announced, payment must be completed within the specified time to be considered successful registration. Late payment will be considered as voluntary forfeiture of this participation.

2. Waitlist and withdrawal from registration

(1) Alternate Mechanism: Contestants who have already secured a spot and are unable to participate can withdraw through the registration platform. If a participant withdraws, the candidate with the higher order of alternates will be substituted. Contestants who do not win the lottery will receive a standby code. If they do not continue to participate in the waitlist, they can withdraw from the standby through the registration platform. The registration fee will be paid within 7 working days after the competition numbers are announced (20 entries for the Huafa Sports mini program). (2) Refund Policy: Athletes who have already received a spot can click the 'Exit Registration' button on the registration details page to apply for a refund themselves. 1. During pre-registration, payment, and supplementary enrollment, registration can be canceled and refunded 100% registration fee. Participants who have already secured a spot will have their refunds refunded after withdrawing from the registration platform before November 15 (inclusive). 80% of the registration fee. IV. Explanation of Event Requirements

(1) Competition Dress Code: Only professional sportswear is allowed to compete; decorative clothing, cosplay, or similar clothing is not allowed; Do not wear clothing that may affect your appearance or hinder your own or others' safety; Do not wear decorations with sharp edges, hard protrusions, exaggerated volume, or easily detachable items; Avoid using exaggerated paintings or makeup or props that cover large areas of the face.

(2) Items Carrying Requirements: No flags (including running team flags), banners, or any devices unrelated to the event are allowed. During pre-race security checks and check-ins, security personnel and referees have the right to collect these items and store them in the designated area at the start. Athletes may retrieve items from the storage area after the race. The organizing committee does not promise safe storage of these items.

(3) Security Check-in Requirements: During pre-race security check-in, security personnel and referees have the right to require athletes to wear sportswear. Athletes whose clothing does not meet requirements must cooperate with changes. If an athlete does not cooperate, the organizing committee has the right to disqualify the athlete. If staff engage in verbal abuse, the committee will, depending on the situation, take further penalties according to competition regulations and registration guidelines, and report to the Chinese Athletics Association.

(4) Civilized Participation Requirements: Athletes should compete civilly and must not urinate or lose fruit peels, paper cups, bottles, or other trash anywhere. Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the journey (including e-cigarettes), and items such as flagpoles and banners that may pose safety hazards are not allowed; Consciously maintain the public environment along the course and route.

5. Eligible athletes for direct qualification

(1) Specific athlete registration: Athletes currently included in the registration inspection database or inspection database of the Anti-Doping Center of the General Administration of Sport of China who wish to participate must contact the official email to register (OC@hengqinmarathon.com). Only after passing review can they participate.

(2) Loyal runners: Participants who have participated in and finished the Hengqin Marathon for seven consecutive years (excluding the Fun Run) may choose either the marathon or half marathon for direct entry.

(3) Other direct entry quotas: including pace couriers, sponsors, partners, media, and direct access slots for supporting events.

6. Instructions for collecting items

The organizing committee will distribute race items to participants from December 24 to December 26, 2026. For detailed check-in details, please refer to the collection instructions published on the WeChat public account.

1. Athletes who are unable to participate for any reason may apply for mailing of race items other than bib numbers and chips via the official event website within 10 days after the race. Any shipping costs incurred are the athlete's responsibility. For specific application methods, please follow the official announcement after the race.

2. Athletes' chips, bib numbers, and event wristbands must be collected in person by the athlete. Athletes must bring their original valid ID to collect their items. On-site verification will be conducted against the certificate. If there is no match, the organizing committee reserves the right to refuse to distribute race items. There will be no on-site pickup on the morning of the competition day. Athletes must arrive at the designated location within the designated time to collect their race items.

VII. Important Notes

(1) Athletes must fill in their personal information carefully and truthfully. The organizing committee will verify the authenticity of the information. If any false information is found, their qualification will be revoked.

(2) To protect the rights and interests of event sponsors, except for sponsors designated by the organizing committee, any form of commercial promotional materials is strictly prohibited throughout the Hengqin Marathon course, including but not limited to flags, banners, balloons, models, and other items.

(3) The relationship between the emergency contact person and the applicant in the registration information; it is recommended to fill in one of the kinship relationships among parents, spouse, children, or siblings.

(4) All false participation is prohibited, including but not limited to substitute running, riding on the run, forging numbers and bibs, fraudulent running, and other acts that violate sportsmanship. If such violations occur, the organizing committee will, in accordance with the relevant regulations of the competition regulations and depending on the severity, penalize violators and report to the Chinese Athletics Association for additional penalties; If serious economic losses or negative social impacts are caused to the event, the organizing committee has the right to hold the relevant personnel accountable and take legal action. Any accidents not caused by the organizing committee will be borne by the relevant personnel.

(5) The registered participant is aware of and agrees that the organizing committee will insure the participant as the insured person, with the insured amount not less than 500,000 yuan; The policy is based on the registration information. Incorrect registration information will result in inability to purchase insurance, and substitutes who register to replace participants will not be eligible for insurance and will face corresponding penalties.
